With all of our regular season shows on hiatus for summer and nothing to keep us busy on rainy days outside of the recorded dancing competitions stacking up on my DVR, you too may be on the hunt for some great shows to watch.
The 2017 answer to every human’s show hole.
And the perfect way to finally watch one of those series you missed the first time around when it was on network TV, before you quit cable, when life was about watching TV on the couch together at 8pm.
Here are a few throwback (and by throwback I just mean not being made anymore) shows to watch on Netflix right now.
ICYMI: 10 of The Best TV Shows on Netflix You Might Have Missed
Yep, that Fred Savage joint from the 80s. Believe it or not, I didn’t watch it when it was on, making it the perfect show to binge with my kids this summer.
Party of 5
This is one I did love. And I totally had a girl crush on Neve Campbell before she went all weird. Don’t remember how it ended, but I plan to find out.
Parks & Rec
A recent retiree, I somehow missed the entire last season despite being a devoted watcher before then. I miss my boy Tom so much.
I rediscovered Jason Bateman courtesy of the Bluth Family. It was legit the best show on TV that no one really watched. This show was hilarious at all turns and I miss it. A rewatching is definitely in order.
It was hard to understand when I watched it he first time around. I blame it on the constant exhaustion and inability to do any one thing for more than 23 minutes that comes along with that newborn life. Now that Dude 1 has watched it himself, he can rewatch it with me and explain all of the confusing time travel parts.
Never watched. Feel like the time is right. I need to fall in love with a little McSteamy.
My older two Dudes have binged Michael Scott and crew multiple times. I need to rewatch it so I know when they’re quoting it. I don’t like being outside of jokes.
I used to LOVE this show. It’s basically Blackish before most of the stars of Blackish were even born.
Another show I watched for awhile and never made it quite to the end. I loved the gym teacher and I am a sucker for a capella.
I need a fun, light show that hopefully doesn’t have a sad ending. I do NOT need a sad ending in my life.
