Last week I headed to California to enjoy the beach meet up with Toyota as part of my involvement with TWIN (Toyota Women’s Influencers Network).
Because my house is in full recovery from mommy-free mode leaving me zero time to focus brain is exploding with information, I’ve decided to share my experience in poetry and photos.
For now.
Roses are red,
The ocean is blue.
With this lovely bed…
I don’t know what to do.
So I’ll prop up my feet…
And sit for a spell.
Then head for the beach…
On its beauty I’ll dwell.
Get ready for dinner.
Blogging buds I will meet…
And of course stuff my face.
With some glorious treats…
Then head back to the room.
To relax for the night…
Reset my brain.
For tomorrow starts bright!
Arrive at Toyota…
Oh my goodness the cars!
They all are so pretty…
And we’ve come so far!
Settle in for some learning…
Then it’s time to drive…
The Prius is pretty, but the Sequoia, oh my…
Just really brings all my Mom Gangsta alive!
We focus, we share,
we drive, we connect…
But our day together is not over yet!
Another dinner…
to grow our bond…
In two short days,
we’ve all grown so fond.
Of each other, Toyota, the Clever Girls too.
And all I can say, is seriously, thank you!
What are you feeling Wordful about this week?! Link up below and then hop over to check out Angie’s Seven Clown Circus too!
But, before you go, here are last week’s featured participants:
- Michelle from One Crafty Mom presents a post that is so full of eye candy that my senses went a little crazy. It’s like looking and a fabulous Pinterest Board, but Michelle took all the pictures!
- Rachel (Following in My Shoes) may have a big bill, but her son’s new smile is worth every dollar!
- My favorite kind of day is the kind where my kids do a lot of smiling and fall asleep exhausted, find out what kind of day is Multiple Mama’s favorite as well!
- Sometimes babies just don’t want their pictures taken and it makes for some really cute pictures. Honey Mommy shares some great ones!
Thanks for linking up! We love picking our weekly faves to feature!
*pBd Admits It’s Free: My travel, accommodations, and over indulgence of delicious foodstuffs were paid for and organized by Toyota via my partnership with The Clever Girls. They didn’t make me have a good time or love driving a Sequoia. The good food, high thread count sheets, great company, and cushy leather seats are to blame for that!

The cars are super cool, but I’m mostly jealous of the room all to yourself. I can hear the quiet.
I know! It was lovely only you like never get to spend enough time in the room when you’re on these trips, do you?! And then, if you’re insane like I am, you can’t even sleep!
Wow, that looks like so much fun. Who knew “mom bloggers” would be all about cars, right? Way to go Toyota! And that food looks GOOOOD!!
Well, I don’t know about the other chicks, but I am all about that Toyota Sequoia. I really considered just taking it for a jaunt down to San Diego. But, a night in jail is so not my bag.
I’m jealous of that clean, quiet room to relax in!
that room looks so relaxing…
the cars look so fun!!!
and yes, i loved your poem!!!!
have a great day!

Thanks! I only like poetry if it rhymes. I’m a 5 year old that way!
Great post. And it was great spending more time with you.
You too! So cool to see you sitting on your porch writing the California morning away! I could do that for a week straight!
Oh-so-fun!!!
Seriously how clever is this?!
Love the poetry, the photos, the FUN, and ohmygoodness those boots!!
LOVE these boots! I wear them constantly. They are super comfortable. and they go with everything. And my feet are super happy in them! They are from Aldo.
You’re such a poet!
LOL on the Sequioa remark. I would’ve gone for that myself :)
And that food…yum.
Looks like it was a fab and relaxing trip!
Wait… you got to take a BATH? By yourself? Without interruption? I’m jelly. ;-) Looks like you had an awesome, child-free time! I want more pictures! I need to live vicariously through you!
I actually didn’t take a bath. I looked at it for a long time. And I even sat on the side for a minute. But then my crazy germ-a-phobia kicked in and I decided to take a super long shower. It was luxurious. And then I ordered room service and ate it in front of my fireplace!
Such a cute poem & great shots! I had so much fun hanging out with you! :)
Pretty crafty poem! The food looks divine and the rides look nice.
the beach looks gorgeous, but so does that read Lexus!
Oh…my…WORD! I am so JEALOUS!!!! Look at all the yummy food and that hotel room ROCKS! Oh and the cars weren’t too bad either. ;-) Seriously, I am so jealous.
Totally jealous cause it looks like you all had a fab time!
Very, very nice! I’m just a teensy bit jealous of all that fun it looks like you had.
So jealous! All that quiet time? Must’ve been bliss
I am so jealous! This looks like a fabulous time!
Love your Mama-only adventures. If only because I really really want to remember what it’s like to sleep alone in a hotel room and take a bath in a ginormous tub (without rubber duckies poking me in my lady parts). Glad you had fun!!
I love this! The poetry was great intertwined with the pictures (that I loved seeing on Instagram)!
Now here is the all important question… How do you get to do things like this?
Omg, I am jealous! What a wonderful time!
I found you through a wordless wednesday link up, and had a good laugh today reading this (love the disclosure…and high thread counts give me fits of ecstasy too) ;-)
That’s awesome.. being able to test so many cars and having fun with your blogging pals.
You are so adorable!! HA! I’m so glad you got to have so much fun! And those desserts…..oh my, I’d have as hard a time getting away from those as I would the cars….
Looks like you had a blast…wow the quite room looks amazing!!! How good did you sleep??!!
Between the bathtub, the room and the food, how did you ever leave?
Loved this! You’re so freaking cute and entertaining! Loved these pics, Amanda. :)
Seriously, this looks like so much fun!!!
I’m pretty sure I would have never gotten out of that bed.
It looks like you had so much fun. Has the Sequoia creeped onto your list for Operation Pilot Replacement?
That looks like so much fun!
Thanks for featuring my post from last week. You would know that I would show up late to my own party!
You look like you have so much fun. Great to get away sometimes and enjoy being a woman. Thank you for sharing!
Hi! I love you site! You always make me laugh with all the crossed out parts! It’s a great technique!! So funny, because we all edit our blogs just like that!! Keep it up!
Smile. Be happy. Be happier!
Ruth

Awesome!! I want to know how to get in on this next time… Ha ha. I love my Toyota Sienna.
I am so jealous of that hotel room. Can I stay there please! This coming from someone who hates being alone.
This is such a fun post! Loved it!
You are a rock star! Thanks for the mention. And nest time you are in my ‘hood you’ll have to come by for a visit. We’re about 20 minutes from the beach on which you were residing! Looks like you had a blast.
You are a rock star. So awesome you were chosen for the program. I admit I wanted to be for this one but feel so much better about not being chosen when there is the awesome of you representing. xo
I’m sooo sad that I couldn’t be there, next time! Looks like it was an AWESOME vacation!!!
What a great time! I loved getting to see you in the racecar!
