After making a comeback last year, lace is still going strong in the fashion scene this fall.
Personally, I own 3 lace dresses.
THREE!
And, I had to talk myself down from buying another one just today. It was sleeved, and in oxblood, which is really just a super disgusting way of saying it was burgundy. And, I wanted it. So, so much. But, the kid had to pee. And, his shifty little kid bladder basically ruined my dream of owning an oxblooded lace dress he comes first, you know, pretty much always.
Or, I may be obsessed.
But, I just love how easy it is too look all fancy just by putting something lacy on your back.
Celebs know it (I love Ginnifer Goodwin, she’s so adorable)…

I know it (this is me throwing deuces with Roo in an elevator at BlogHer12; the light is poor, her hair is pretty much distracting everyone from even seeing me, and our gangsta faces are extremely hardcore, but I’m certain that this is a lace dress I’m wearing, because I recall rocking it with a unicorn on my head later that night. Long story.)…
And now, you know it too (ohmagosh, y’all are lucky you have me)!
You don’t have to go full lace dress to make a lacey statement though. Lace can make an appearance, in itty bity ways, just to up your awesome a bit too.
I am in LOVE with lace tights for example…
Paired with a colored dress worn by a ridiculously awkward human, they just add interest to an outfit, make me look more put together and deliberate in my style, and cover my wiggly thighs too!
Win. Win. Total freaking win.
And, my Jedi thinks they’re cool too…
Here are some finds for all my single ladies Lacey Ladies out there who are looking to ease into the lace. What? I blog to Beyonce…
A Little Lace: Easy Ways to Add This Old Turned New Turned Awesome Style into Your Wardrobe
And, no, you shouldn’t wear ALL of these trends together. A lacey collared shirt with a lace skirt, lace tights, and lace shoes is definitely a don’t. Just pick the one you’re feeling most for the day, rock that, save the rest for later!
*I’m joining Fashion Friday with Girly Mama.

First of all, I love you and Roo going gangsta. Nothing like fab blogging mommas making silly (sorry, SERIOUS) faces together. Love.
Also, love your lace legs. Hot momma! I’m going to have to get a pair. I haven’t decided how I feel about the whole Peter Pan collar thing yet, but I’ll take lace any other way you give it to me!
Yeah, I look like a chubby 8 year old in the collar things, but it works on the legs! And, Roo and I are totally gangsta. Mom gangsta that is:)!
That black dress is Cuh-YOOT. I like the skirt, too.
I used to rock fishnets for Halloween, back in covered wagon days. Lace tights on these shorty legs would be a different kind of scary.
Yeah, I’ll prolly need to go with a clutch.
Clutches work! And I remember the fishnet days. They were the before-I-was-allowed-to-wear-stockings-days, but I always remember thinking one day! One day I will wear them in my mama’s face!
I am wanting me one of those lace skirts! Beyond cute! Of course- with no more blogging events coming up in the near future- I would just be wearing it with my tee shirt and sneaks replacing my usual yoga pants as I sit at my desk at home…..
But still- I want it….
You could be that mom who rocks out the race skirt at a sporting practice! :)
You could wear it to our next event!
I’m not so much into lace right now, BUT, if I ever redid my wedding, I would buy a lace wedding dress.
I would never redo my wedding! Looking back it was such a HUGE money suck. I just think of all of the things we should’ve done with the money. And our wasn’t even super expensive! If I ever have the urge to like recreate that, I will go on a really sweet, kid free vacation instead! But, a lace dress would be awesome.
For me, it depends on where the lace is located. A shoe, a clutch, a nice overlay on an otherwise soft scarf, I’m good, but sometimes lace alone is just too itchy for me. Damn if it ain’t cute, though. (Also, I really want that blue dress!).
I don’t have any itchy lace thankfully. It’s pretty much all lined. And those stockings are surprisingly soft on the inside.
I LOVE those tights!!! I have one lace shirt and get so many compliments on it. I think I bought it 4 years ago. Seriously in need of a new wardrobe.
We should go shopping! I don’t even need an excuse!
I totally found this cute lace skirt today…until I realized it was a misplaced Halloween costume. I’m on a mission now! The tights are way too cute too…I can see my toddlers ripping them in a millisecond though.
I found a cute lace skirt at H&M this weekend. I almost bought it but I couldn’t find a shirt to match it. Probably a sign I didn’t need it!
I adore lace! And if your Jedi likes it…well, that pretty much settles it! I like the lacy shoes; they’re a sweet little surprise!
I’m in love with the idea of a lace skirt, but I haven’t found the right one yet.
LOL! You seriously DID rock that lace dress at BlogHer. And I really really love those tights on you. I gotta go shopping today. We have family pictures at 3pm and I am wondering what I am going to wear that will make me look Hot/non mommy/cute/whatever LOL
You are so cute.
