Wordful Wednesday. The Spooky Edition.

Okay spooky people.

Let’s see those hurricane photos Halloween costumes.

Here are ours…

And, get excited because I’m about to wow you with a couple of the decorations that are slowly (thanks to us having to spend a day hunkered down in the basement while #Frankenstorm made a mess of things around our house) coming together for the big Halloween night shindizzle (that’s Mom Gangsta speak for party and, clearly the howling winds and a night on a sketchy air mattress have made me sleep deprived and delusional)…

Yep, I made that sexy Halloween banner.  And that hot little glitter pumpkin.

The pumpkin was like a two step deal, but that banner?  Be impressed people.  I think I drew blood on one of my man-thumbs.

The spider came from some random place.

And, the jack-o-lanterns?  Straight from the hands of the Dudes.  They drew ‘em, scooped ‘em, and cut ‘em.  I just stood there and like yelled about them waving sharp object in the air and dropping seeds all over the floor for The Beast to choke on.

Happy scaring.

Have something to get Wordful about this week?!

Link up!

And then, spend a little time getting to know my co-host Angie @Seven Clown Circus and some of our favorite linkers from last week!

  4. Glad you guys weathered the storm okay! I love your banner and totally recognize and appreciate the effort that must have gone into it! I’m sharing the iphone costume I made for my oldest and I have to say that I burned myself with the hot glue several times!

  5. You did a nice job on the banner. The dudes look frighteningly awesome.

  6. Looks like you are all ready for Halloween! I have yet to take pictures of my kids in their costumes, so you are ahead of me! Hopefully I can sneak some tomorrow. Otherwise I will be the mom that is taking my kids out in November to get shots of them in their costumes!

  7. I just keep telling myself that I’m going to get it together in September and decorate for Halloween. Never. Happens. Bravo for doing it up and getting all crafty. Looks great!

  11. I’m seriously impressed with your decorating skillzzzz!

The most to come out of my Frankenstorm mania were a couple of baked goods and a vampire manicure for my daughter. That and some grey hairs.

  12. Love that banner!!! And of course the costumes!! :) Happy Halloween!

  13. Awesome costumes & you did a FAB job on that banner!!

  14. Loving it Loving it!!!!

  15. I got nothin’. We had a BOO! sign on the door but Sandy blew it off. That was the extent of our decorations (oh, no, wait, there’s a purple bat tied with wire to our gate. THAT’S THE EXTENT OF IT). Every year I say I’m going to decorate the house and then every year…nothing. Sandy kind of helped the non-doing this time around, though.

My kids don’t even have costumes. I am wonderful.

  16. That banner is IMPRESSIVE! You are quite the crafty lady these days!

  17. That banner is pretty awesome!

How did you glitter up that pumpkin?

  18. Ooo you’re so crafty!
