And you should join my book club so you can do even more of it.
With me as your guide.
And by guide I really just mean I will hang out with you online once a week and talk about the books with you. Or the Oscars. Or Duck Dynasty. Or anything. Because talking reading is what’s up.
Last month we read Silver Lining Playbook.
Well, we were supposed to read Silver Linings Playbook, and I know some members read Silver Lining Playbook, but I went ahead and read Beautiful Creatures instead.
I know.
Worst. Book club leader. EVER.
I’m sorry, but Silver Linings Playbook was a snore to me; I just couldn’t get into it. I’m totally gonna watch the movie when it finally hits DVD though. Totally.
So, we’re just going to part ways with SLP and pick something I like else instead.
And, this month, we’re going to get crazy and, gasp, learn something!
I know, I’ll miss the epic-love-story-turned-blockbuster-film thing too, but I’m feeling like I could be more awesome when it comes to domestic type pursuits. Which basically just means that I want to make something amazing for my family to make up for the fact that I haven’t folded a stich of clothing or washed a single window since, um, I actually can’t even remember.
So, I need to do this. and, I need you to join me.
Here are our two options…
We can either learn to cook something tasty our kids will eat, without whining, or crying, or calling us mean (this never rarely happens at my house), or we can learn to be more domestical (don’t worry, you don’t have to actually clean anything; I’d never actively promote that!).
And, I’m moving our meetings to JUST the last Sunday of each month (this month it will be March 31, 8:30pm EST; don’t worry, I’ll remind you) so we can have some time to try this being more awesome business and blog about it (if you’re like me) and stuff.
I really hope some of you will join me on this being-more-knowledgeable-and-therefore-awesomer adventure, and to encourage you, I’m giving away 5 copies of whichever book we choose on The Copia.
But, if you win you have to promise to join.
No joke. I’m talking, commitment here people.
Because otherwise I will hunt you down and like, bake you something amazing. Or, clean your kitchen walls. Or, um, something horrifying that is actually a threat.
So, who’s with me?
Leave a comment on this post telling me which book you think we should try and you’ll automatically be entered to win a copy of the book we choose (we will choose next Saturday so this contest closes then).
Let’s do this!

These sound fun! Maybe I will try and figure out Copia again ;-)
I am down for which ever. I love cooking and trying to get better at homemade cleaning stuff. I get a headache from the chemicals in cleaning products.
I’d like to do Weelicious.
I’d love to read the Homemade book by Reader’s Digest. I like your idea for the book club and I’m going to join. But I already know how to cook, but I’m very interested in going more natural and making my own products. So, that’s my vote. :o)
One more thing…. what’s The Copia? How does it work? Do you have a link? Thanks!
Okay okay, I will join your book club. I have been wanting to join one for a while. For real, so this is good for me!
I vote for Weelicious!
How about I just cheer you on from the sidelines? ;)
