Wordful Wednesday. Thank You.

Four weeks.

That’s a long time to be sick when you’re newly five and full of energy.

It’s a long time to be away from school and your friends and even, really, yourself.

#3 was a total trooper though.

An exhausted, crazy sick, too-out-of-it-to-even-complain trooper.

But, he’s better now!

Not 100% better, but on his way (technically he has to be monitored and blood tested by his specialists monthly and then every 3 months for the next year).

He went back to school for the first full day yesterday (okay, it’s just preschool so full day is like 4 hours total).

There were a few tears (his illness made him VERY attached to me so if you see me around town with my 50 pound preschooler wrapped around my hip like a toddler, this is why), and he came home too wiped out to even make it inside the house, but he finished the day and it’s just another step on his road to being back to awesome.

Which is, um, AWESOME!

Know what else is awesome?  All of the lovely, amazing, generous fellow bloggers who came together to shine some light on #3 and our family this past month.

The gifts we have received from all of you who care about us have been mind blowing.  Like no-way-we-deserve-this-can’t-stop-crying-because-people-are-so-nice mind blowing.

We are thinking of a good way to pay it forward, but in the meantime, #3 wanted to just say this to everyone who has sent him well wishes, and prayers, and gifts, and really cool monkey cards…

ThankyouthankyouTHANKYOU!  (And, feel free to check us out on Vine.co if you want to watch #3 beatbox, and me snow tube, and other randomness).

Have something to be Wordful about this week?  Link up and check out what my co-host Angie at Seven Clown Circus is up to.

And, be sure to check out this week’s featured linkers featuring a photo of what good daddy’s look like, the best boy birthday party idea I’ve seen all month year, a really great post about hard choices moms have to make, and the very best way to start a morning, duh, dancing…

This community is just solid gold. I never knew that women, complete strangers would open their hearts for others.

My husband I were just talking last night about how impossible it is to turn down your baby’s desire to be held. They’ll be ten and I’ll still be lugging them around (although I may end up hospitalized for it).
