T-Shirt Tuesday. Abraham Lincoln Says Broccoli Bad #Giveaway

We are huge history buffs over here.

Okay, by we I mostly mean The Dudes.  I’m more of a live-in-the-present-lets-watch-reality-shows-girl myself.

They watch the History Channel the way other kids watch Nickelodeon.  And I don’t just mean the fun series (hello, Pawn Stars) that every one gets swept up in.  I’m talking presidential biopics, war related specials, and those history mystery shows about random events most people don’t even know happened.

It’s weird.  But also cool.

cool kid clothing

The brand makes these really awesome t-shirts for kids who have a fine appreciation for real life heroes.  The shirts, emblazoned with historical figures we should all know and love, are meant to inspire kids to greatness.  And give them a wardrobe to achieve it in.  Because everyone knows that when you look good, you feel good, and when you feel good you have the potential to be amazing.

Speaking of amazing, Dude 3 would like you to know more about Honest Abe, specifically what he did as a president that made him memorable and great…

He’s 100% wrong and I told him I don’t care what some old, dead, former pres has to say on the matter, broccoli will be going in his gut along with whatever other greenery I shove at him.  He informed me that if he becomes president he will never ever eat it or any other vegetable aside from corn and salsa again.

Salsa is totally a vegetable.

AFter looking at the site and being from Illinois, I would have to go with Lincoln. I like the Johnny Appleseed shirt, but Abe is for me.

Hello! My favorite historical figure is Hypatia who was one of the only educated women in ancient Greece. Her death came because of her status but she made huge strides in philosophy, astronomy and mathematics. Thank-you for a chance in this giveaway!

My favorite historical figure is Mother Theresa. I don’t think she is really historical however I have admired her my entire life.

I love them all, but I’d choose Joan of Arc for my wee girl and Lincoln for my wee boy (with Johnny Appleseed coming in a close second). :)

These shirts–and that boy of yours–are so stinking cute!

I’d have to go Susan B. Anthony for the girl power factor, seeing how I’m a Chick Mom. ;)
