The snow is beginning to melt.
After the winter we’ve had, I can hardly believe it.
But joy, so much joy over the longer days and the warmer temps.
Here are some other arguably awesome things making me smile this week…
This 30 second guacamole recipe. Because 30 seconds? For guac?! Yes, puh-leeeez.
Planning a road trip this spring break? Sharon Mom of 6 shares her family road trip must haves. For the record, when someone with six kids tells you how to do something with kids, you just listen. She knows her stuff.
These cute canvas sneakers. Often I forget that UGGs are about more than those unflattering, flat chunky boots made popular by preteens.
This great lip balm. I’m a huge, long term fan of Kiehls.
Jamberry nails. I didn’t even know a thing about them until my homegirl Kirby sent me a set to try. So. Much. Awesome. You can change your nail style just like whenever without having to take your kids with you to the nail shop where everyone will be talking about you and them in another language. Save that experience for emergencies.
Cinderella the movie. I haven’t seen it yet but I’m so very excited to because Cinderella is my all time favorite princess of all time all time. I love her. I love her story. I love her fairy godmother and her glass slippers and her pumpkin carriage and even the little rats that drive it. She made me fall in love with Disney and fairy tales. Sure, it’s her fault that I glare at DudeDad over my laptop sometimes for not acting very princely, but she’s also the reason I believe in magic and miracles and happily ever afters. Dragging the Dudes to see it tomorrow and they are going to love it too. Because I say. That is all.
Speaking of Cinderella, I am loving he super cute line from Lauren Conrad at Kohl’s. Such stylish Disney clothing for women that you don’t actually have to be at an amusement park to get away with (do not get me started on amusement park style).
This epically cool Paper Block City that I just started building with Dude 3. He is all about meticulous tasks and, while he will cut you if you break it once he has it set up, he enjoys the designing of it and the together time it provides.
My favorite pair of jeans. I wrote a post this week at Everyday Family about how to choose a good pair of jeans, with links to the brands my Facebook fans said they loved most (Maurice’s, Gap, and American Eagle) in case you need some pointers. Personally, I live in my AE’s; they’re well made, come in a ton of cuts and washes, and are crazy affordable ($40 isn’t bad for jeans that will last for always, y’all).
