Spring is our busiest season as a family.
I feel like I barely see my children, at least not all at the same time.
Unless it rains.
And then, rejoice!
All of the sports are canceled and we can finally catch up on us time!
Usually that means jammie pants and Netflix, but this weekend, with nothing on the docket but a couple of basketball games in the morning, we did something new.
We took a road trip to go shopping in Waldorf, MD at the St. Charles Towne Center.
The shopping center had invited us down a few weeks ago to see what they have to offer families in the area when it comes to shopping and entertainment and, shopping lover that I am, of course I said yes.
And I’m glad we did because we had such a wonderful time!
It was so nice to spend a day with the three of them together.
As much as my Dudes hate shopping, they all had fun picking out a few things they needed for sports and spring and we enjoyed dragging Mimi along for the ride.

Thinking about checking out the St. Charles Towne Center next time you’re shopping in Waldorf, MD? Here are a few things to know.
5 Things to Know About Shopping in Waldorf, MD at St. Charles Towne Center
They are home to over 130 stores.
Including, some of our faves like H&M, Dick’s, and Old Navy. We picked up a new basketball bag for Dude 3 at Dick’s and some spring clothes for Dude 1 (and me!) at H&M.
They have five anchor stores.
Dick’s, Macy’s, Macy’s Home Store, JCPenny, Kohl’s, and Sears. That means you can snag everything you need for your favorite athletic pursuits, and some new appliances for your home while you’re at it. I did NOT buy a new fridge while I was there, but I can’t say the thought didn’t cross my mind!
They have a great food court.
With a Chick-fil-A you don’t have to wait in line an hour to enjoy. I don’t know about you, but our local Chick-fil-A’s are routinely crowded. We walked right up and ordered lunch, no need to wait.
They have an AMC with reserved seating.
I love these locations. You can get there and pick out your seats and no annoying person is going to ask you if you can scoot down a bit so they can sit together while snagging the middle seats we got there an hour early to claim. Sadly, we didn’t get to enjoy Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 there as we’d planned because it was sold out, but we tried!
The location is convenient.
And kinda perfect. What you can’t find in the mall you can find nearby. The mall is located in an area surrounded by other shopping centers filled with the shops we all know and love -like Target and TJ Maxx.
