**I am a member of the 2017 Sweetest Moms Hersheypark Ambassadors and receive compensation as part of my participation.**
Our family has loved Hersheypark for many years.
In fact, it is the first amusement park we visited when we moved to the east coast in 2001, and The Dudes used to take me there every year for my birthday until missing school on a random Tuesday to celebrate Mom’s birthday got to be an issue.
Unlike some of the other amusement parks they used to enjoy, no matter how old they get, they seem to be happy to pile into the car for a trip to Hersheypark.
There are just so many things to love.
We love visiting the Chocolate Factory and learning about how the chocolate is made. We love experiencing the park during special events, like Halloween and Christmas. We love coming up in summer to enjoy the water park. And, we love taking a break from the thrill rides and games to spend time with the animals in the zoo.
Hersheypark has something for everyone and we truly believe that every family can find their happy inside of the park.
But, when it comes down to it, for this Dude family, it’s all about the rides!
According to The Dudes, they have the best rides at Hersheypark!
After visiting Hersheypark several times this year as a Sweetest Moms ambassador and having the unique opportunity to truly enjoy immersive experiences within the park and around the city of Hershey, PA, I can truly say that my children are especially qualified to share some intimate knowledge about exactly which rides are the best rides at Hersheypark.
So, I asked them.
The 10 Best Rides at Hersheypark
Scariest: SooperdooperLooper
Something about the drop in this ride makes it the scariest one in the park.
Fastest: Skyrush
They didn’t clock the speed or anything, but it feels like it’s moving the fastest.
Best for Rainy Days: Laff Track
It’s all indoors so, on those rainy days, you don’t have to worry about getting soaked while you wait or ride. Plus the fun house mirrors in the line area are one of their favorite parts of the park.
Best to Go on with Your Mom: Wild Mouse
Because it’s slow and, if your mom is a roller coaster softie, she will scream and not even complain about her back or head hurting when you get off.
If You Like Hanging Coasters: Great Bear
It’s fun and it’s fast too, but not so fast it’s scary. It does go upside down though.
Most Exhilarating: Hershey Triple Towers
They like to challenge each other to see who will go on the tallest tower –so far, only Dude 2 has done it!
Most Scream-Inducing: The Claw
They say it’s more frightening than most of the coasters in the park and, based on the screams I hear while I wait for them on the ground (nope, never doing it), I believe them.
Best for Relaxing: The Monorail
It’s perfect to jump on when you just want to chill a bit after a hot day in the park.
Best for Old School Carnival Fun: Musik Express
Just remember, heavier rider sits on the outside!
Best Water Ride: Coastline Plunge-Whirlwind
The bottom dropping out part is what does it for them, I’m sure.
