Since #3 launched his now-somewhat-famous-because-I-won’t-stop-talking-about-it lemonade stands earlier this summer, people have constantly been asking me what he spends his cash on.
I get that, it’s not every day you see a 4 year old with a wallet so thik with $1 bills it won’t even close. People are curious about if he moonlights at a strip club what he does with it all.
Honestly, like every successful entrepreneur on the planet, he saves most of it, and gives some of it away.
With his first few dollars he earned he did go out and buy himself a small, plastic ball for the pool and a boat from the $1 bin at Target.
Then we had “the tree incident”* and it turned him into the brown-skinned, Western Maryland version of the Lorax. Being so traumatized by the entire thing, he vowed to save up enough cash to replace at least one of the trees that was removed unexpectedly.
I sorta fibbed about how much one would need to actually purchase a tree, so he thinks he has at least 10 times the amount required. He’s now planning to put in a whole garden on the side of our house this spring. With a pond. Filled with coy and bullfrogs.
Don’t worry, I fully intend to front him the cash he needs to make the yard more beautiful when the time comes.
But, aside from his two pool toys, his tree savings, and his charitable giving (he considers buying his brother’s ice cream charity), #3 spends his bank on one thing: Sweet. Bow. Ties…
He went on the Buttered Toast shop site and picked his latest one out all by himself. Or as he likes to say, he “hooked it up online”. You know, cause that how we do…
Just shop for fancy duds in our spare time and then rock them like a gangsta…
Want to snag something fancy for your little man’s neck?!
Check out our handmade-bow-tie-making homey at Buttered Toast. With all of her fun designs, she rocks kids’ necks. Hard…
Because #3 believes that every good businessman needs to look money if he’s gonna make money, we’re giving one super McCool bow tie away to one super McLucky reader (just leave a comment on this post by Friday saying you want to be entered; that’s it!). What? He’s looking into become a venture capitalist too (and, apparently a doctor who moonlights as a farmer and a volunteer fire fighter).
Now, comment on this post because you love me so you can win the tie.
Then check out last week’s favorite linkers. Since everyone seems to have back-to-school on the brain, we decided to feature some of our favorite links on the subject this week!
- See how back-to-school looks for a mama sending her twin Dudes to kindergarten for the first day at Because I’m the Mommy.
- Check out Desert Chica Ramblings as she sends her oldest to kindergarten for the first time!
- See the morning struggles of getting kids off to school at Stacey’s Mothering Moments.
- And, an adios summer poem with pictures of a kid’s first golf tournament at Ordinary Miracles & The Crazy 9 should help you reminisce a bit too.
When you’re done checking out their awesome, go ahead and see what my WW co-host, Seven Clown Circus, is up to this week!
Now, link up your posts.
And, I already know I’m bossy. So there.
I might have missed the giveaway, but he is way too cute. And sassy. Like in a good way.
Fabulous photos! And congrats being featured in Clever Girls blast! What a blast :)
those bowties are rockin!
love it
thanks SO MUCH for stopping over to my blog :)
My son loves the bowties too :) super cutie!!
How handsome is he?! My son LOVES ties and a bow tie would be the coolest thing ever!
Hi, he is just adorable! I love his bow ties. I’m not entering the contest, either, I don’t think baby girl needs one. I did want to mention another cute place that has bow ties…maybe out of his price range? It was featured on Tori Spelling’s blog: http://www.boutaugh.com/
Ahh, he looks so gangsta cool! I will look into getting a few for my boys!
I can’t wait to see Small Fry in a fly tie!
Love the bowties, my youngest would love them!
I love kids with distinct personalities! He will go far!
Bow ties are a thing with my son too. Last year I made him a sweet SuperMario bow tie for his school picture. This year I’m thinking Star Wars. Or maybe this cute yellow with white polka dots material I have. Or maybe if I win..one from Buttered Toast!
Oooh, I’d love my little guy to Rick one of these.
His taste is impeccable :)
What a stylin’ dude!!!!! Love that!
You know I love #3 so and I love his ties. I need one for Zaid. He has a few actual neck ties but they aren’t nearly as cute as a bow tie on a nearly 3 yr old would be. I showed him the site and sure enough, he pointed at the orange polka dot just like I knew he would because “oooh mommy I like-a da or-unsh.”
Love those bow ties. They would be super cute for a photo session!
So stinkin’ cute!
He is ROCKIN’ the bow tie! Is it just me, or is he getting more handsome by the day? :) Feel free to throw my hat into the ring – maybe my Little Dude can try to measure up for studly bow tie wearing. ;)
First Day of Fourth Grade
He really knows how to rock the bow tie. The kid’s got swag. I would love to put one of these on my little dude! I think he would yank it off, but they are just darling!
Bless him! You have a real businessman on your hands!
Attitude, face AND money. What else is there?
Not entering, but I needed to tell you how stinkin’ cute your boy is!!!
It’s probably the hallmark of a genius that he spends his hard-earned bills on bow ties. Like Einstein or something. Adorable as usual!
This kid is seriously going to be famous! He is working that bowtie! :)
I LOVE that he used his hard earned money to buy his bow ties! :) Too cute!! I must get my boys some of these. Matching or no matching..that is the question?
LOL. Gotta look money to make money. awesome.
Dude #3 is going places :)
PS No need to enter me. Will won’t wear a tie :(
Man..he is so stinking cute…if I had a boy, I hope he’d rock a bowtie like that…..so, I guess I can hope that one day one of my girls finds a bowtie rocking dude!
How freakin’ cute! I love, love, love bow ties on little guys! Andrew has a cute red one with penguins on it for the holidays!
And just so ya know… I would’ve commented anyway. :)
I need to check out that bowtique. My boys could rock a bowtie!
He is seriously rockin’ that bowtie! His cheeks are seriously pinchable! And thanks for the mention!
