Possibly you’ve heard by now that #3 is under the weather.
If not then you haven’t been hanging out with me on Facebook SHAME, SHAME ON YOU and you are seriously missing out!
His evil-ugly-would-punch-it-in0the-face-if-I-could illness has caused us to pretty much spend all of our time in one of two places: on the couch in front of the TV, or at the doctor’s office.
Not much to get dressed up for there. I pretty much only put on pants when we go to the doctor every morning. And they are the same pants. Every day. Don’t judge. They never get dirty because I take them off the moment I get back home. Because you don’t need pants to sit on the couch, silly.
My lack of destination this past week (and, the one before, honestly, he’s been sick for 2 whole weeks now) means that I don’t have anything to show you in terms of personal style, unless? Do you want to see my daily jeans? Fine…
Keep moving people, nothing to see here, but a lady watching her dog make in the bushes on her porch.
Fortunately, in lieu of looking hotness, my couch surfing has actually paid off!
Because while I maybe didn’t bother to wear real clothing much this week, I did spend plenty of time finding new blogs to love (I will be linking to someone new every day I blog for the rest of the year!) and, of course, stalking like a boss checking out some of my all-time favorite style blogging mamas and what they’ve been up to.
Not that I want you to ever read any other blog aside from mine for fashion inspiration or anything really, just that I figure, on these rare occasions when I’m riding dirty not myself, you may need someone stylish to temporarily fill the void.
Here’s someone new to crush on (not new to blogging, just new to me!): Oana Befort (Dudes, I can’t pronounce her blog name with confidence-Oh-AH-Nuh?!-, but she writes in a window, and makes dope shirts, and her pictures, YES!).
And, here are my all time faves…
4 Stylish Mama Bloggers To Love & Copy (as long as you promise to never, ever show up dressed like them at an event)
1. Sydney at The Day Book Blog. She might as well have poison airbrushed on her backside. Although, from what I can tell, she doesn’t. But dang it if I don’t spend hours sitting there looking through her posts forgetting that I’m baking bread or washing clothes. Kidding. I don’t wash clothes. But, I’ve burned some bread over her blog for shizzle.
2. Mandy at Harper’s Happenings. She’s seriously funny and she dress cool too. The only human chick that comes close to being as adorable as her is probably her 4 year old daughter who may have her beat based entirely on youth and smallness factor.
3. Jo-Lynne at Musings of a Housewife. Here’s the thing about Jo-Lynne’s blog: it’s useful. Like I read it and I think, now there is something I can actually take to the store and work with. Not that I will come home looking half as fly as she does in clothing, but a girl can dream, right? Jo-Lynne’s posts let you do that: look amazing. In your dreams.
4. Anna at In Honor of Design. I’ve loved her site since I was in sweat pants. Pre-fleecervention I would sit on my couch and marvel over her adorableness. Her ability to get dressed fancy and not look like she was in pain. Her easy style, her inspiring outfit choices, her perfect-for-fashion-posts brick wall (how do you just live by that?), her rocking body, her cute kids. Sigh. There is nothing wrong with girl crushes people, we all have them.
Thanks for sharing your favorite style inspirations. I love Jo-Lynne and will check the other ones out!

Jo-Lynne is awesome. And, honestly, so is Mom Trends. I really enjoy your Instagram stream!
You are too sweet. And I’m pretty sure I’ve never been described as “fly” before. ;-) xoxo
Well you should totally hang around people with more, um, vibrant vocabularies more then:)! Love your blog, so, so much.
Hope that little dude feels better soon! Poor guy.
And I agree with Mindi, you’re looking awfully skinny there Miss. And I don’t know if I’ve mentioned it, but you totally inspired me to get my butt in gear and get back on the Weight Watchers train. 6 weeks and 13 pounds down. Hollerrrr.
And thanks for the links. Like I need more blogs to get lost in!
Thanks, Jen. I don’t know how skinny I will be once this whole ordeal plays out; I’m a total stress eater. And go you with your weight loss! So proud of you!
Look at you skinny mama! You look great! Thanks for some links to check out. We all know I need help in the fashion department although right now my wardrobe is pretty limited to waistless pants. I can’t wait for spring so I can wear dresses and skirts without freezing.
I honestly wish I was pregnant sometimes so I could have a get-away-with-it-day (or month).
Meant facebook!! FACEBOOK!!
Been following your story on twitter.
Keeping your boy in my heart, and prayers.
xo
Thank you so much Alexandra. Appreciate your prayers.
Sorry he is still sick! Sucks for you both! Cute pic of you-like the shoes. :-)
Thanks, I LOVE these shoes. They are so comfy and they were dirt cheap!
