Yesterday we took Dumb Dad to a lunch he hated, bought him a drill he can’t use, and lost the cards we purchased before we even had a chance to give them to him (I put them someplace “safe” and they will remain there safely until I remember where the heck that is).
The dog is ill. We have to pay $600 in the morning to get #2’s braces on. And, apparently our car is turning into some sort of an evil smog death machine.
On the bright side, I snapped some pretty adorable photos of him and The Dudes on his special day.
Photos that say, “Hey, if you just look at our faces in these shots you might think we hate each other, or the world, or both. But, if you know us, or happen to have been passing us on the street when some of these images were snapped, you will know that we actually don’t have beef with each other or the world, it’s our photo snapping mama we want to donkey kick for being lame.”
Lots of my digital mom buds captured some special moments of their Dude Dads too…
They all have gorgeous, happy children who take scowl-free photos apparently.
In honor of Dude Dads everywhere I’m asking you to share some pics of your favorite Baby’s Daddy doing his thing this month too! They can be scowl-y or happy as long as they show the awesomeness of Dad life.
Just select a photo of your Dude Dad and your kid (or yourself with your own Dude Dad from back in the day)…
and share it in one of the following ways (NOT ALL, just one!)…
- Send it via email to parentingbydummies[at]gmail[dot]com.
- Link it up to Wordful Wednesday this week (be sure you put Dude Dad Photo) in the link so I can find it.
- Upload the photo to Facebook and then tag me as @dumbmom or @parentingbydummies.
- Tweet a link to your photo to me @dumbparent so I can have a looksee.
You don’t have to be a blogger to submit a photo. You can be an Etsy-er, or a general business owner, or just a mom with a hot hubs great Dad-kid shot you want to show off.
But, I will feature your shot this month, and if you have some online awesome you want people to know about, I will feature that too. And, if I really, really happen to think your photo is Dad Awesome, I might have to give you a gift. Because I’m just cool like that.
I’m out.
Love your caption on the picture. My husband and kids put up with all my crazy camera ways too.
What a great post!
I’ve got a great photo of me and my Daddy somewhere on this computer. I’ll have to try to find it.
Dang, I really should have taken a picture yesterday! My guys hate posing for pictures too! And you know, your dudes are cute whether they’re smiling or not.
I love this! Since I’m so used to seeing moms, I love seeing dads with their children. So sweet! And what an awesome idea for a link up!
My mom is constantly leaving things in a “safe place.” She usually finds them…eventually. :-)
Thanks for including a pic of my dude and his dad! (The dudette was asleep in her stroller).
Your 4 men are so handsome!
Jdaddy got McDonald’s for dinner on Father’s Day. Granted, he did get a nice Father’s Day buffet lunch at a nice restaurant earlier in the day, sans kids. I have a feeling that someday, the McD’s dinner is going to come back and bite me in the ass. ;-)
A gift for photo awesomeness, you say? Should I start pacing the mailbox now then? I’m expecting big things, girl, BIG THINGS. ;)
