Now that pBd has gone the way of the dinosaur, I’ve decided to change up the posting schedule a bit.
Sure, that means that you will have seen a fashion post from me twice within the span of four days. But, you know what? Sometimes you just have to sacrifice for awesome. And also, one can never be TOO fashionable!
In honor of Earth Day and living and Eco Gangsta lifestyle (which is just code for looking fly while also being conscious), I’ve dug up some stylin’ eco friendly fashion finds that don’t make you want to punch yourself when you find out how they’re made. Think fair trade, organic, vegan, type stuff that you might not want to eat, but probably you could if you had to.
All of these finds can be seen and purchased in one place on my Sweet Relish Eco-Awesome list (and, no, conspiracy theorist, I don’t get paid if you shop there, although honestly, I probably should!).

Fair Indigo. They find awesome stuff from around the globe. Fair trade. No sweat shops and evil crap like that. I’d actually fly to Mexico for a beach weekend and a margarita these flats they’re that adorable.
Fawn&forest. Sellers of organic kids clothing. As much as I physically hate the site of a squirrel on the land (long story involving thousands of dollars of damage to my house), I actually love this shirt a little. Made by Alternative Apparel.
Tiny Revolutionary. It’s about way more than how these shirts are made (although you can rest assured they’re made organic, with soft inks, and never seen the inside of a sweatshop), it’s the message. Teaching kids and reminding bystanders to do the right thing in this world. #3 has been rocking the Tiny Revolutionary vibe for years.
Reneu Shoes. They please feet, minds, and the Earth. Made with minimally invasive techniques and ready to be all supportive and comfy on your feet. They’re pretty adorable too.

S.W. Basics. I fell in love with this company when they were called Sprout because they use fewer ingredients, that are fair trade, and organic. Plus, everything smells so friggin’ fabulous. And they’re straight outta Brooklyn. Everything’s cooler in Brooklyn.
Greenola Style. A company that empowers women AND cares about the land. Total scizz-ore! This necklace is made gorg by re-purposing paper. Best looking paper I’ve ever seen.
I represent a unique line of made in the USA, eco-chic women’s clothing called “kikaPaprika”. They are the only private label company that offers custom color – meaning the customer can have any of our garments in any of our 12-14 colors. Visit our website or Facebook page!
Great list! I love the Priti NYC polish and the Tiny Revolutionary shirts would be perfect for my son to wear.
Um. That necklace is made from paper and from a company called Greenola Style? IT MUST BE MINE IMMEDIATELY!
I need to try s.w. basics asap, I’ve been meaning to but diapers, babyfood and furloughs have taken over my single mom of two on one income budget! Any suggestions on what is a must from them?
Awesome list for Earth Day! I need to check these out.
Love the “some day I’ll change the world shirt” and honestly I LOVE that you’re blogging more about fashion, etc. It’s the direction I’ve been kind of wanting to go to, but keep second guessing myself that I don’t have enough authority to say what’s fashionable. Though honestly I read enough fashion magazines that I probably do =)
The Renue Flats are to die for!
Love the shirt #3 is rocking.
I thought of your kids on Friday. Jack had a doctor’s appointment and there was a med student tagging along. Said med student had on bright, kelly green pants with a dress shirt and tie that didn’t exactly match, but wasn’t so mismatched that it seemed weird. It appeared as though he was being all cool and trendy. Plus he had #3’s hair. Completely. I thought of your awesome kids, and then I saw med student’s shoes and socks and realized that he wasn’t cool and trendy. He had NO fashion sense whatsoever. He was wearing tan socks and black dad-style loafers. OMG! There’s apparently a very fine line between trendy and clueless! ;-)
