We are in Disney World today!
My excitement to be at the happiest place on earth, in warm sunny Florida, away from cold, dreary Maryland can only just barely be contained.
That being said, getting to a destination with three kids (and no husband, he stayed home this time), is always a certain type of challenge.
Even when they’re big.
Fortunately we are beyond the feed-them-from-my-body-then-hold-them-while-they-mess-their-pants-and-cry-incessantly-to-the-chagrin-of-other-passengers phase is beyond us. Aside from a few motion sickness issues (yes, Dude 1 tends to get the barfs when we fly) and general complaints about being-touched-bored-having-to-pee-and-so-hungry we are good.
Plus we know some really awesome things that make traveling with kids a win.
Arguably Awesome: Best Products for Traveling with Kids
Paper Punk Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle. Some kids like to color, mine likes to fold paper. This is the ultimate.
Boogie Board Writing Tablet. For kids who like to draw or PLAY TIC TAC TOE INCESSANTLY, this means you don’t have to cart around any paper.
MineFlix. It’s a collection of everyone’s favorite (and kid friendly) Minecraft videos. You know the ones where they sit and watch someone else play the game? Sigh. And yes, Stampy Longnose is on there.
Vine Kids. The Dudes find it lol funny.
Speck Products iGuy Case. We love our iGuy. He keeps the iPad super protecte, makes carrying him easy, and he stands up so you can pop him on the tray table and let him entertain your little person.
Monster NTUNE On-Ear Headphones, $99. Awesome because the kids can share one device thanks to the music share cable.
Travel Buddies Luggage Set. Cute, fun, perfect size for little humans. Also, the hard outer shell means their snacks don’t get smashed and neither do their electronics.
Kids Water Bottle. We carry it through security empty and then fill it up when we get on the other side. You can save cash by drinking airport water. I know, ew, but at $3-$4 a bottle it might be worth it. You can bring a flavored mix-in
to spruce it up!
SuperME Ninja Cape Backpack. My super ninja loves his SuperMe backpack.
[…] My friend Amanda is at Disney World with her kids right now, but before they hopped on a plane she shared this post about the most awesome travel stuff for kids, especially tweens and teens. While we’ve traveled a bit I found some new must-haves here. The ninja turtle folding papers are totally rad. Read more at DudeMom. […]
