We love Hershey year round, but we especially love the way they celebrate holidays and Hersheypark Christmas Candylane is one of our all-time favorite holiday special attractions.
It’s so festive and fun and, with it being less than two hours from our home, it’s an easy location to slip away to for some holiday cheer.
As part of my involvement with the Sweetest Moms ambassador program this year, we were fortunate enough to enjoy an all-expense paid overnight adventure to enjoy Hersheypark Christmas Candylane.
If you’ve never had the pleasure of experiencing the sweetest place on earth during the holiday season, add it to your list and make it happen.
10 Things to Know About Hersheypark Christmas Candylane
The entire park is a winter wonderland.
Hersheypark Christmas Candylane is truly magical thanks to the countless beautiful lights and holiday music playing throughout. At night, everything comes to life and the entire park is covered in twinkling, festive lights.
You’ll want to catch the nightly light show.
With more than 200,000 dancing lights synchronized to your favorite Christmas jams. You can catch the show each night at 5pm and every 30 minutes thereafter.
You can enjoy special holiday treats.
Like free hot chocolate refills in your souvenir cup. It comes in handy when you’re trying to enjoy the festivities without freezing your buns off. Bonus: the crab fries are there year round so you can snag yourself a bucket of those too!
And a live Christmas show.
Showing multiple times each day, the fun holiday show is a delightful way to rest up and warm up in the indoor Chevrolet Music Box Theater.
There are reindeer.
Actual reindeer! Santa’s whole fleet is in the park. You can visit their stable and chat with their keepers to learn more about them.
And ice skating.
Although, technically, it’s not real ice. It’s like this smooth, pseudo-ice surface that you can glide around on while wearing ice skates. We rented a couple of pairs and the Dudes had fun falling repeatedly along with the other patrons.
The rides are open.
Not all of them, but a lot of them, including 6 roller coasters and more than 50 total rides.
And, you can visit Santa.
Venture over to his workshop and pop in for a visit. You can have your photo taken or just sit on his lap and let him know what’s on your wish list this year.
You can even have breakfast or lunch with him.
Make a reservation to enjoy a delicious meal with Santa, Mrs. Claus and some of his favorite sidekicks at Hersheypark Place.
A detour to Hershey Sweet Lights is just around the corner.
Round out your night like we did by heading over to Hershey Sweet Lights to enjoy the drive-thru experience featuring nearly 600 illuminated, animated displays through two miles of wooded trails.
Hersheypark Christmas Candylane runs through Christmas and ends on January 1, 2018.
