They have an amazing annual fall festival with tons of activities for the kids and the tastiest freshly made donuts of all time. You may go to pick your own pumpkins, but you will probably leave with a few funky gourds, some delicious apple cider, a few boxes of donuts, and some seriously tuckered out kids. If you’re looking for a pick your own pumpkins farm in Maryland, I highly recommend a trip to Frederick to enjoy Gaver’s.

For more than 20 years, Summers Farm has become the destination for fall fun in Frederick County, Maryland. With over 45 fun activities, the farm is the perfect destination for family fun, corporate outings, field trips, Scout outings, and more! The offer a ton of special events days, like heroes day and teacher appreciation days, and even have fireworks, live music, and performers on certain days during their fall festival. If you’re not interested in the entire festival experience and just want to pick your own pumpkin, that’s cool too. You can take a free wagon ride (weather permitting) to the fields where the pumpkins are growing! There’s no admission charge to pick your own pumpkins. Pumpkins are sold by the pound and you pay for what you pick!

Jumbo’s Pumpkin Patch
Jumbo’s was established in 1994 with a roadside wagon and 1-1/2 acres of pumpkins. They now offer many acres of pick your own pumpkins, a 15 acre corn maze and many other family activities. In 2015, we were named among the top 10 Pumpkin Patches in the United States by MSN. Farm visitors can enjoy hayrides to the pumpkin patch and corn maze, petting zoo, pony rides, Snack Shack, shopping in the General Store and Craft Attic for a variety of handcrafted items from over 45 local artisans.

There are over 20+ activities at the farm included in your admission. Brookfield Pumpkins
At Brookfield Pumpkins, you have 15 acres of pumpkins to explore in order to find that perfect pumpkin. When you visit on a Monday – Thursday, you can walk or drive down to the patch. But if you’re visiting on a Friday – Sunday, you can take advantage of our free hayrides that run every 15 minutes. Once you’re in the patch, you can pick your own pumpkins (jack-o-lanterns, white, pie, etc.), gourds (mini-ornamentals, winged, etc.), and squash (spaghetti, butternut, cushaw, etc.). There is also a kid-friendly corn maze on the property and a winery nearby for a little post-pick-you-own grown up fun!

Clark’s Elioak Farm is well know around Maryland as the Enchanted Forest. With fairytale structures inherited from another location, you can explore their whimsical grounds while you’re at the farm. Then, you can take a hayride to the pumpkin patch to pick a pumpkin, gem mine for treasures at their flume, explore the pennant rope maze and enjoy a lovely fall day at the farm. You can also play in their Enchanted Pine Tree Forest Maze, visit their Fairy Forest, and enjoy their rides. Great food will be on site from CJs Pit Beef, Pizza Krust & Mike’s Gelato, along with tasty local cider.

Larriland Farm
The farm is decorated for Halloween with ghosts and goblins to delight and scare you. On Saturdays and Sundays in late September and October, we offer hayrides during the day (9:30am – 4:30pm) . This is a tractor drawn 20 minute wagon ride over the farm, ford a stream and through the woods which are decorated for Halloween. These hayrides are open to everyone. The Boo Barn is for children ages 4 – 6. It is a dark passage in the bottom of the Red Barn and is filled with animated, not too scary ghosts and goblins. The Boo Barn is open every day the farm is open in late September and October. They also have apple fritters and food trucks on the weekends.

Rockhill Orchard
Rockhill Orchard offers fresh pick your own crops June through October. In the fall they have two corn mazes, one is 9 acre, the other smaller one is one acre, You can pick a pumpkin from the vine in their pumpkin patch and try their world champion pumpkin cannon. They offer free hayrides between the apples, dairy/pumpkin cannon, and the corn maze/pumpkins. In the farm market you can find apple cider donuts and then head over to the dairy to watch the cows being milked with the robotic milker. You can even pet the calves or help bottle feed them on weekends at 4pm.

A 90-acre working farm in Harwood, Knightongale is a seasonally open pumpkin patch, fall fest, and corn maze located in Harwood, Maryland. The weekend’s only farm offers tons of activities for visitors including petting zoo, pony rides, corn maze, hay rides, moon bounce, pedal tractors, and more.
Doran’s Chance Farm-Carrol County
Doran’s Chance Farm is open to everyone for hayrides to the Pumpkin Patch for pick your own pumpkins and entrance to the corn maze. Wagon to the field leaves every hour on the hour 11 am to 4 pm daily.

The annual Pumpkin Pickin at Baugher’s farm happens every weekend in October. It is an experience full of family farm fun! Enjoy their scenic hay wagon ride across beautiful Carroll County farmland as they take you to the pumpkin field where you can stay as long as you like, searching for pumpkins that are just your style. The wagons also go to their pick your own apple orchards. In addition to the hayrides and pumpkin picking, farm visitors can experience pony rides, pumpkin bounce, face painting, and a petting zoo. They also offer a variety of food options including pit beef, burgers, kettle corn, and homemade baked goods, ice cream, and fudge.
