Summer break officially starts here this week.
I’m as excited as I am horrified.
I have all of these grand plans (of course) but, as someone who has been at the beginning of a summer break for more years than I care to recount, I know that what they say about the best laid plans is entirely true. Especially when those plans are laid by busy moms of three who also work from home. And who have really good intentions, and really bright ideas, but not as much follow through or energy as pulling off those plans tends to require.
Sigh.
Think positive thoughts.
And then, let’s just go ahead and focus on something we can control entirely: our summer wardrobe!
I live most of my days in my summer uniform, and when I break from that I usually do so with a summer dress of sorts.
My latest summer dress find that is winning? Cotton t-shirt dresses.
So versatile. So easy.
I wear mine to the pool for swim practice, on shopping dates with Mimi, I even wore it on set when I did a news segment recently.
This one is a Calvin Klein number I snagged at Marshall’s for $25, but so many options out there!
1. Asos, $63.83, 2. Loft, $45, 3. Target, $19.99, 4. Oasis, $42, 5. H&M, $17.95, 6. Gap, $54.95, 7. Old Navy, $24.94, 8. C. Wonder, $58, 9. Zara, $49.9, 10. My dress can be found, in black and white, here for WAY more than what I paid: Belk, $69.99.
What does your go-to summer outfit look like?
T-shirt dresses are my jam too! Love #6!
I don’t think I can think of any other Summer style that is so simple yet stylish, so easy to wear!
Coming over from the link-up. I love how easy t-shirt dresses are! Great picks. I especially love the Asos one!

Super cute dress. I’ve been on the hunt for a t-shirt dress. Thanks for all the options.
I love a cute shirt dress! Makes it looks like you tried when you really didn’t! Thanks for linking up! Don’t forget to link back : )
I’m totally loving casual dresses for the summer. Usually I’m not much of a dress person, but I’ve picked up a few and they’re so comfortable. Love the tshirt dress you’re rocking. I also just read your Kate/not a fashion blogger post, and you are my new best friend! Exactly how I feel about the fashion bloggers – where do they get those backdrops? Have a great week!
Love it! For me, t-shirt dresses are like pulled together yoga pants: so easy, so effortless, so comfortable. They just have the added bonus of looking super cute too!
I love yours! Stripes are where it’s at!
