Holiday gift giving season is upon us!
And it is so exciting!
For those of you who follow me on Facebook and tune in every Wednesday for my Facebook live chats, you’ve probably seen my unboxings.
Because I am addicted to unboxing things –especially things that are for me.
But, things for other people too.
Because surprises! I love surprises!
Recently, I have been on a bit of a subscription box kick.
Those are fun, right?
They are little surprises every month. And, while you know they are coming (because you’re paying for them), you don’t often know exactly what will be inside of that box.
That’s sort of the beauty of the subscription box model though.
When you commit to a subscription box, you are basically saying I love this type of thing so much that I want it to come to my house every month and I am trusting you to send me awesome examples of this thing over and over and over again.
A lot of trust is being put into that boxer. And the burden to keep that trust it entirely upon them.
Stitch Fix is my perfect example: I love pretty things, and the only way I am going to stop letting them send me pretty things every month is if they start sending me things that aren’t so pretty. Hasn’t happened yet, so I am on like my 18th straight month of receiving Stitch Fix boxes.
Recently, I decided to explore the world of the subscription box a little bit more thoroughly.
Sort of get outside of the fashion for me box so to speak.
We tried edible boxes, and style boxes, jewelry boxes, and even boxes for our furry friend.
There are so many.
And they make the perfect gifts –they’re easy, they’re fun, and they truly have something for everyone (yep, even your freaky friend who is always telling you something you don’t want to know about them or any person).
If you’re looking for a box to gift to someone you care about this holiday season, one of these is bound to fit the bill.
Subscription Box Gift List: 10 Best Subscription Boxes to Gift This Holiday Season
Boxes I’ve Tried
For People Who Like Fashion Accessories
Wantable. I am so next level in love with their accessories boxes. They have sent me two of the most adorable clutches, as well as necklaces, bracelets, and rings that have easily found their way into my daily rotation. It’s cool because you pay a monthly fee and then you get to keep everything they send. They have style boxes as well where you can receive clothing if that is your jam. You can check out my unboxing on Facebook.
Price: $40 for the first box and $36 each month thereafter
For People Who Like Fashion
Stitch Fix. You can’t sign up on behalf of a friend (there are too many options to help curate the best pieces), but you can gift them a subscription so that they can try out. And, for friends who are already signed up, a gift card is the best! I ask for them every year because I know I will spend them!
Price: $20 per box –amount deducted from purchase if you buy
For People Who Like Edible Adventures
Try the World. With your taste buds! These boxes are packed with edible goodies from around the world that allow you to gift a foodie friend the perfect treat! You can go for the signature box with a selection of gourmet foods, or the snack box that has edible treats from around the global.

Price: $16.50 to start
For People Who Love a Good Farmer’s Market
RoostCrate. It’s not like a box of fresh veggies, it’s all of the actually good and fun stuff the farmer’s market sells outside of the fresh veggies. Like jam, and candles, and soap and such.
Price: $39.95 per month if you do the month to month
Boxes I Want to Try
For People Who Love Their Dogs
Barkbox. It’s a fun treat for your furry homegirl (or boy). And, added fun, if you gift one to a dog owner during the holiday season, you can pay a teeny extra for them to add a human gift to the box. Kinda thinking of everything right there!
Price: $29 for a month to month situation if you have a smallish dog –bigger dogs cost more, but if you pay in advance it’s less
For People Who Like Makeup
Boxycharm. They send full sized makeup products instead of samples. So you can actually enjoy it on your face for more than just a weekend.
Price: $21 per month
For Your Favorite Geek
Lootcrate. They have a ton of different options. Stuff for gamers, stuff for anime lovers, stuff for comic book fans –basically anything geeky people love can be found in the box. I ordered it for Dude 1 for Christmas, shhhh don’t tell him!
Price: Varies, seriously, like $15-$50-ish
For The Little Creator
Tinker Crate. A fun, educational box of building and learning for little people. I know Dude 3 would enjoy this one because he’s all science-y and stuff. Bonus, they have crates for all different ages of kids, like newborn and up.
