Summer is systematically kicking my butt.
Day in. Day out. Summer wins. DudeMom loses.
I’ve been staying up super late to work so I can care for The Dudes during the day (and by care I mean break up fights continuously) and I get up booty butt crack of dawn early in order to get The Dudes to swim team practice.
Why do I sign them up for the swim team every summer?
I know it will exhaust me.
But, oh the cuteness is so very worth it…
And they are truly amazing swimmers, a necessity I think based on where we live (on a lake, in case you haven’t sufficiently stalked me).
But, because of all of this, posting is hard. Like HARD.
And so is work and so is cooking and so is cleaning (although, thanks to chore Tuesday, The Dudes knock out most of the weekly cleaning duties). I can barely keep up on So You Think You Can Dance, you guys. #thestruggleissofreakingreal
Thank the technology gods for my iPhone though. It is helping me make memories when the ability to string together words fails me.
It’s only the second week of our summer break and we have so many adventures planned. Most of them will not show up on the blog because (see above and also I want to nap), but all of them will be captured and shared on Instagram and Periscope (so loving the instant video making), so join us over there.
In the meantime, we’d like to celebrate with you!
The entire Happy Mama’s Team is encouraging happy summer adventures by asking you so share your #SummerHappy with us on Instagram.
You can enter ONE photo each day with the hashtag #SummerHappy via our favorite photo social sharing app, Instagram, between now and August 1st for a chance to win a $110 Target gift card.
We hope you have an awesomely happy summer!
I am so glad my kids are not on a swim team. Even though I’m probably getting up earlier than you to go to work. If I could be home it would be really hard for me to get up and out the door. LOL
We are doing nothing this year. No camps. So they’re pretty much just lounging around all day. I have some painting that needs doing.
You area WONDERFUL mother for getting up so early for swimming! Hats off to you, lady! :D
