Shopping for Christmas is one of my favorite things to do to get ready or the holidays.
Right next to eating.
I love finding unique things for my loved ones to light up their faces on Christmas morning.
Especially my Dudes.
I don’t buy them things on a regular basis. They get gifts on their birthdays and on Christmas. They get necessities, like shoes for basketball and gloves for winter. They rarely ever get toys (unless they buy them themselves) or other for-funsies items just because. It’s not in my budget and I never wanted them to be the aksing-for-things-at-the-store-constantly type kids.
They don’t do that. Ever.
They get in line and look longingly at the Ringpops and the Pokemon cards lining the check out stand without asking.
I appreciate that they are not gimme kids.
So, when the holidays approach I get pretty giddy with my shopping and surprises.
Need a little help picking out something for the Dudes on your list this year? You know I gotchu!
First, sign up for eBates. I never shop online without it and I save money on every single purchase. It is really too easy to ignore.
Next, choose something from my Dude Approved Holiday Gift List. Everything listed has been played with and/or requested by one of The Dudes. They did the research so you don’t have to.
The rest is up to you, I can only do so much over here!
The Ultimate Gift Guide for Boys According to The Dudes
For All Teens: iPhone 6. Dude 1 broke his iPhone on the very last day of school last year. It fell out of a hole in his backpack as he got off of the bus and broke. EVEN THOUGH IT WAS INSIDE HIS LIFEPROOF CASE! We switched him to an old one we had lying around and he’s used it without complaint since, even though the top button doesn’t work and you have to get creative with the screen if you’d like to see what’s on it. A new phone is top of his list.
For Runners: Monster Clarity In-Ear Headphones – Black Black . These are super clear upgrade to the comes-with-the-device joints your kid is probably used. They offer a superior experience that beats the standard in ear headphones by a long shot. Added awesome: they come with different size attachments so your teen can get a perfect fit and not worry about them falling out while getting his run on!
For Warriors Fans: Super cool timepieces that even my youngest Dude likes to rock.
For on-the-go Gamers: This mobile hotspot comes in handy SO much when we travel by saving us from going over our data plans and allowing him to headphone up an enjoy his videos and games.
For Athletes: Because you can’t ever wear your game shoes on the street. Ever. These fresh Under Armour Slides are comfy for the to and from.
For Music Lovers: Singing in the shower is real life. A Bluetooth Waterproof Shower Speaker makes pumpin up your jams while you get clean kind of amazing.
For Movie Lovers: A Netflix subscription. Because you know teens like to chill.
For Dudes Who Care About Their Skin: The Alpha Fit Men’s Cleansing System by Clarisonic. You can read about it here: Acne Prevention for Teens
For Star Wars Loving Athletes: The Force in this Storm Troopers compressions shirt will help them win their next game!
For Active Daredevils: Spooner Boards . This is serious fun for indoor and outdoor tricks. The two younger Dudes both asked for one this year.
For Kids in Cold Climates: A cute hat that is warm too.
For Curry Fans (which, at this point, is basically everyone, right?!): Stephen Curry Golden State Warriors Jersey.
For Gamers: It’s Star Wars season, y’all! This one is rated teen: Star Wars: Battlefront.
For App Addicts: And movie lovers who are Apple users an iTunes Gift Card wins every time.
For Football lovers: An AYO Shout out. This one needs some explanation. You can order a shoutout from your kid’s favorite football player to be delivered directly to your little fan. Kelvin Beachum made one for Dude 2’s football team before playoffs (which they won, incidentally!). You can peep it here: Kelvin Beachum shoutout. Also, if you want to get one, they have a discount code for you that’s good through Monday: holidAYO.
For Little Dudes
For Little Fighters: Who are actually lovers who like punching things. The Socker Bopper Power Bag was a big deal with little kids when I was young. Pretty sure kids today would dig it too. A funky pair of boxing gloves make this the perfect gift.
For Mini Gamers: A Nintendo Wii U . We haven’t been a Wii family in years, but Dude 3 is digging this Xfinity thing.
For Science Lovers: A Sick Science Kit . You can buy one of these (they have a number of different versions to choose from) or you can DIY a kit yourself. Dude 3 fell in love with Hoopla Kidz on YouTube Kids and got hooked doing their science experiments. These are cool to follow because they tell you just what you need to try the experiments on your own.
For Dino Lovers: Dude 3 has wanted a Zoomer Dino for years. This year’s Black Friday sale means someone will be a T-rex daddy this time next month!
For Star Wars Fans: Who also enjoy being cozy, Star Wars Yoda Jedi Robe
