While the idea of TikTok moms may be entirely foreign to you, TikTok itself is probably quickly ringing a bell of recognition in your brain.
With over 800 million monthly active users, the app has found itself claiming the title as the sixth most popular social networking app available – behind well known giants like Facebook, Instagram, and FB Messenger. Pretty cool stats for an app that really just gave itself a full overhaul and relaunch in 2018.
And, while the app formerly known as musical.ly, has been the happy home of teens and young adults for ages, TikTok is a fairly new space for mom creators eager to explore their more fun sides thanks to COVID-19.
The global pandemic can arguably be thanked for TikToks recent diversification. Families stuck safe at home have been looking for fun ways to bond and soak up their unexpected free time and TikTok has provided the perfect outlet for all of that pent up quarantine energy.
And so explains the birth of TikTok moms.
Many of us were introduced to the app courtesy of our children who are now, in whole or in part, largely regretting that decision thanks to the proliferation of TikTok moms ready to dance, voice over, lip sync, and trend their way onto the apps For You Page.
Personally, to the horror of my teenagers, I was creating TikTok videos before we found ourselves in quarantine, but I really upped my game once school was released and lock downs in my state began.
I’ve since created nearly 50 videos that feature everything from my dog in a onesie to dance routines with my dudes. It’s been so fun coming up with ideas and trying the trends and I’ve found that TikTok moms are probably some of my favorites!
Even if you’re not ready to jump into that creator life, I’d say the app is worth a download just so you can enjoy funny videos like this, this, and this!
Convinced you’ll give it a go?
Awesome!
Download the app to your phone and give these talented, creative moms of TikTok a follow first!
15 TikTok Moms Worth Downloading the App For
@thedudemom
Naturally I wouldn’t recommend you download an entire app if you’re not going to follow me first.
What to expect: dancing, lots and lots of dancing. Sometimes with my kids, sometimes with my dog (yes, there are at least two dog dancing vids), sometimes solo. You’ll also find a few recipes, some funny voice over videos, and a number of trends seen across the app.
Check me out here: @theDudeMom
@itscaitlinhello
What to expect: a bunch of “Karen” videos that will make you laugh tears thanks to their complete accuracy. The Starbucks mom complaining about the dog nearby is, hands down, one of my favorite videos on the platform so far.

@rattlesandheels
What to expect: Mom of three, Adanna, has been someone I’ve enjoyed on Instagram for years. She basically takes her IG content and mixes it up to get her TikTok channel. You’ll see a lot of fun and funny videos, fashion content, and general life of a mom type stuff when you visit her on the app.
Check her out here: @rattlesandheels
@vera_sweeney
What to expect: if you are familiar with Vera from her family and fashion related blog and/or Instagram channel, expect to be entirely surprised by her TikTok content. This woman is HILARIOUS and I had no idea until I discovered her TikTok channel.

@raisingwhasians
What to expect: Another TikTok mom who I discovered via her Instagram channel and blog, Christie brings the funny to her TikTok channel in a whole new way. I love all of her funny mom life videos that are so relatable to any busy mom.

@livinglocurto
What to expect: Covering everything from tasty recipes to Disney adventures, you’ll find all kinds of great stuff on her channel.

@trisbrooks22
What to expect: lots of dancing. She dances with her husband, she dances with her kids, she dances with her in-laws, her parents, her friends. She even tosses in a duet (where you make your video split screen alongside another user) from time to time. And, since she’s a boy mom like me, I have to admit I’m a little partial to her.
Check her out here: @trisbrooks22
@dardymarty
She’s a little more rugged and raw than your everyday mom and that’s kinda why I like her. She’s not afraid to clapback at her haters with a couple of well placed foul words and a middle finger salute, but I love how real she is about motherhood and life in general. Plus, she’s funny.
Check her out here: @dardymarty
@black_as_a_mother
What to expect: This mom shares all kinds of content about life as a mom, interracial relationships, race, and more. I love the videos she gets her husband to participate in and her kids are ADORABLE.

@the_worthens
What to expect: Technically, I guess this is a family page as the channel has videos featuring everyone in the family and some of them don’t have mom at all. That said, I live for the mom and son dance videos and I use them to convince my sons they should make TikToks with me. They’ve not been convinced as of yet, but I will continue to use the Worthens family as an example. She’s about more than her dancing, though. As a mom of five, she has plenty of content on her channel to share.

@balancedanesthesia
What to expect: As the name implies, this TikTok mom is also an anesthesiologist. Her videos are often about her life as a doctor (love her reminders to take COVID-19 for real), but she also shares about being a busy wife and working mom to her three boys. Personally, I think she’s seriously funny and would love to have her knock me out. You know, medically, when I need a procedure or whatever.

@amiyrahmartin
What to expect: Amiyrah is one of the early TikTok moms to find success on the platform. Her easy going style and relatable personality make her a content creator users are easily attracted to. You’ll see her having fun with trends and voiceovers as well as sharing some easy recipes and videos dancing with her kids.
Check her out here: @amiyrahmartin
@meetthechambers
What to expect: Similar to @the_worthens, The Chambers chronicle family life on their TikTok channel. The channel mirrors their YouTube pretty closely so you’ll see mom life type videos with some fun TikTok trends played out by the entire family.
Check her out here: @meetthechambers
@marywitzel
What to expect: According to her Instagram channel, Mama Mari is a Zumba instructor. Her TikTok proves it because it is filled with her shaking what her mom gave her. She does a ton of dance duets with other creators and she seriously makes getting fit look fun.
Check her out here: @mariwitzel
@brittanyjadeszabo
What to expect: She’s a single mom of three who candidly shares her story of divorce and addition recovery through parenting. Sounds heavy, and it is sometimes, but she’s also great at infusing humor into her feed too. Her video about accidentally finding yourself in the men’s locker room at the gym is totally me.
