Fall and winter are birthday season around here.
All of the Dudes were born in cold months (bad planning because we can’t just hit the park for a cheap-o b-day party) and then there’s Christmas. And, as much as I’d love to be all no-gifts-we’re-going-to-Disney-for-the-holiday-woot, we a) can’t afford it, and b) don’t want to ruin the whole Santa Claus leaves gifts under your tree thing for them yet (we’ve got a lone believer left here and I’m not letting go).
We don’t really give them a lot of toys (we’ve gt handed down toys coming out of our ears anyway), but that doesn’t mean we don’t like giving them gifts from time to time. Just not the everyday, snore-ish, common gifts out there.
We’re more the one of a kind, interesting, Uncommon Goods kind of gifters.
15 Uncommon Gifts for Boys from Uncommon Goods
From top (l to r): Flying caterpillar, $25, Build Your Own City, $40, Hand Tattoos, $12,
Aquafarm, $60. This is one of our all time favortie products because it’s both educational and fun and. Even though we recently flushed Larry IV, the Dudes enjoy watching it grow and getting new Larry’s every few months (note: get another fish).
Handtrux Shovel, $18. Catapult Kit, $28. Construction Lunch Box, $9.99. Stencil & Pen Kit, $10. Ski Hero Hat, $22. Mini Ice Cream Sandwich Press, $15.
Shark Slippers, $42. Because there are few things more sacred to my Dudes than Shark Week. Also, they’re warm and soft and you won’t slip and hit your head on the hardwoods when you jump to the floor from 4 steps up. All traits a good Dude slipper must have.
Stoneware TV Dinner Trays, $24 (set of 2). These have been a hit at our house because, “EWWW MY BBQ SAUCE IS TOUCHING MY MAC N’ CHEESE AND MY CORN AND I. CAN’T. EAT!” is essentially a dinner sound of the past!
Thunder Maker, $12. It actually sounds like thunder and is perfect for scary story sound effect making.
Family Charades, $26.
SuperMe Backpack, $40. It’s the cape and the mask FTW!
Uncommon Goods also has an awesome selection of gifts for moms, gifts for dads, gifts for grads, and gifts for pretty much anyone in your life that enjoys fine things. And being unique. And shark slippers.
*Disclosure: Some products featured in this round up were given to us by Uncommon Goods, free of charge, in order to facilitate this post. All of the other circled stuff we bought with our own cash because we know how to give cool gifts dudes dig!
