Sort of.
So, here’s the thing, I love Pinterest.
Love it.
Could scroll through those pages for hours oohing and ahhing and repining images of tasty treats and inspiring DIY projects.
I fall in love with these projects and activities and recipes crated by Pinterest moms who just make magic in their kitchens (and wherever else they decide to whip up awesome).
Only, not sure why I bother with all of the searching and saving and screen-shotting.
Because I am THE WORST.
I am never going to be a Pinterest mom.
We planned to make Oreo Cookie Pops.
Instead we just ate Oreo cookies.
And had a really good time.
I did learn a few things though that can totally help all of you who are out there eager to try this.
5 Tips for Making Oreo Cookie Pops
Use candy melts.
Chocolate chips are stupid.
Make sure you let the chocolate glue you use to fuse the cookies to the stick set a bit before you start dipping.
Totally couldn’t even get mine dipped because they kept breaking and falling off the stupid stick.
Maybe, just ditch the sticks entirely.
Oreos dipped in chocolate and covered in sprinkles are good even without a stick.
Figure out drying.
I have zero tips for this because yeah, never figured out how to keep the chocolate from slipping off or getting stuck to whatever I laid them on. Styrofoam is a great option (you can stick the sticks into it so they can stand and dry).
Have fun.
We only cook what and when it feels good up in here, that’s why we have so much fun doing it in our videos!
