Have you posted Something Spooky on your blog this month?!
Today’s the big day to share!
You don’t have to (the regular Wordful Wednesday linky is down there too), but you can if you want us to love you to!
I have a pretty spooky something to share myself!
We just got our so-totally-spooky costume for #1 from Costume Express* this week and he’s looking pretty dang scary if I do say so myself.
When The Dudes said they were gonna be vampires and werewolves I was thinking they meant Edward and Jacob, not Count and um, vastly-less-famous-man-beast-creature-whose-name-I-can’t-recall.
Especially when it comes to #1.
He’s never, ever been anything terrifying for Halloween before.
He’s usually something more, um, super…
But, I guess super is for babies now and this hideous looking costume would fall under the heading Things 10 Year Old Dudes Like…
That’s cool.
I mean, you know, sort of. I tried to convince him to be something interesting like Mark Zuckerberg a shower stall (thank you for that Karate Kid), but he wasn’t really feeling it.
So, yeah, that’s cool.
Although I’m not liking that it’s a little bit rubbing off on #2. I mean he’s only 6. I shouldn’t have to kiss his super heroic costumes adios yet. But, of course, #1 is a werewolf so he wants to be a vampire. And, NOT the sparkly kind as I’d so hoped.
He’s going for the whole I-vant-to-suck-your-blood-and-then-leave-you-to-bleed-out-in-an-alley sort of vampire.
Boo to that.
And, #3, we’re still deciding on his costume because he changes his mind on it literally every day of life.
He’s discussed being Wolverine, Man Gaga, Scooby-Doo, a scary-werewoof-like-brother, a pirate, a cowboy, Puss in Boots, and most recently a “fancy vampire”.
Which is preschooler-whose-mom-is-a-total-Twi-hard-code for Edward Cullen.
I’d be fine with that actually. Just, you know, because.
Feel free to give us some other suggestions; Man Gaga can NOT happen!
Have Something Spooky to share with Angie and me (use the FIRST LINKY) because you want to win a kid costume for your little person, or just here for Wordful Wednesday (use the SECOND LINKY)? Either way we’re glad you’re here (and don’t forget to visit her Seven Clown Circus too)!**
*Costume Express is sponsoring this month’s WW theme. Go check out some of their costumes to be used for Halloween and beyond!
**Please link up your Something Spooky posts by Friday at midnight. We will choose a winner and announce it next week!

He would be so adorable as a pirate! I vote for pirate.
Julie {Angry Julie Monday} says
Love all the costumes. Nothing spooky for me though. Angry Kid is going to be a ninja for Halloween. I already have enough grim spookiness at work.
blogger broadcast says
fantastic costumes. I love them. cute photos.
Maggie S. says
Whaaa? Costumes pass down. #2 gets to use one of #1’s previous costumes, #3 gets to choose from among the old ones, etc.
Rachel@ That's Life says
Your boys are so handsome!
Thankfully, my boys are still “babies” and will wear what I pick out! ; o) And I’m with you on the Man Gaga? I shutter to think what that might look like. Ha! Thanks for stopping by!
Jennifer says
This was too confusing for my Diet Coke deprived brain.
I think kids should let us pick their costumes until they are too old to trick or treat. That way we can make them matchy, cute stuff for as long as we want.
Arnebya @whatnowandwhy says
The girls just got into Halloween the past couple of years or so (b/c their mama was never really into the whole dress-up thing and our neighborhood is rather kidless so we never trick or treat). Now, though, they’re talking about parties and going to other neighborhoods for lood, and I wanna be goth, I’m a dead princess, can you get me a pretty, frilly dress then paint a black eye on me. Gah.
And I’m telling you now, that werewolf mask? It would have to be put away someplace very very secure the minute trick or treating was over. B/c playing w/it at random after Halloween, scaring me, making me have bad dreams, remembering how I didn’t want to, but my sisters MADE ME WATCH SILVER BULLET WHEN I WAS 12…just, no.
Sue the Desperate Housemommy says
I cannot get enough of that werewolf mask.
I want one.
That is all.
Dumb Mom says
Yeah, it’s pretty scary but he’s all about being a big shot now so I guess it’s exactly what he wanted!
Verena says
Your boys look really cool! :) Enjoy Helloween!
Happy WW!

I’d be putting the kibosh on ‘Man Gaga’, too. ;) Princess Nagger is a every-few-days-mind-changer, too – although this year she picked a costume and stuck with it… only scary in that it supports her Angry Birds habit because she’ll be dressing up as an Angry Bird. ;)
Jennifer says
Bwahahahahaaaa!!! “Fancy Vampire”??? I love your son!!! LOL!
Alexia says
Ok I know Man Gaga can’t really happen but is it bad that I kinda want to see it anyways?
Though I am VERY intrigued and LOVE ‘fancy vampire’. Does that include glitter?
And #1’s costume – super scary. Why do big boys have be scary? Boo. But if it makes him happy, right?
Genny says
I love the themed WW… although I used the wrong linky, lol. Sorry!
Lolli @ Better in Bulk says
My youngest was a werewolf last year. I ended up cutting the scary face out of the mask. Just left the ears and the hair. It was the best costume ever. :)

That is cute! I think it might even be the same costume! We were just debating about whether or not it’s too scary for school! We think it might be!
Runnermom-jen says
This is the first year my oldest wants to dress up as something scary too! I kind of discouraged it at first, but then I embraced it…he’s growing up, and I can’t stop it.
I love the pics of the superheroes. :)
Honey Mommy says
I totally spaced the something spooky… which is ok, because my kids don’t really do spooky (they are still midgets). Maybe I will come back and link up something spooky from a previous post.
Terra Heck says
I used to be able to pick out my kids’ costumes and they were all cutsie. Like yours though, they went with the scary theme this year.
Katie @Pinke Post says
Those are some scary and tough dudes! My girls would be terrified of them!
Kristi {at} Live and Love Out Loud says
Cool costume! He’ll scare tons of people for sure. You know, I almost linked my WW post up under your spooky linky. I figured that since it was a close-up of me, it might qualify for scary. ;) But alas, I linked up with the WW linky instead. Hope you’re doing well, Amanda. Miss chatting with you on Twitter! Take care. :)
Mrs. Cox says
Ah! That’s an awesome werewolf-kid get up. I can dig it.
Sarah says
Such adorable shots!

We went through no fewer than 4 years of Power Ranger and Spider-Man costumes. I’m so glad to be past those years!
